Icicle<\/p>\n
Under the cold and crystal-clear sky
against distinct lines of mountains<\/p>\n
snow flakes are softly fluttering
and diamond dust is glittering.<\/p>\n
On a mid-winter morning \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
a \u00a0rock is in view, jutting out from a ridge.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a frosty shape of winter
hanging down under eaves.<\/p>\n
The crystal-clear sparkles of reflecting lights will crawl down as a drop of spring,
when the river water is slightly warmed.<\/p>\n
You may not see it yet,
but this sign of spring will be soon replaced with bursting vigor of lives.<\/p>\n
For this exhibition, I designed my works inspired by \u201cicicles,\u201d one of the diverse forms of water. I hope you can enjoy the hot summer with these cool jewelries.
Although icicles occur in a frigid climate, they don\u2019t exist only in the utmost coldness. They sometimes melt a little and then freeze again. In their shapes I can see the flow of time. When the warm spring comes, they disappear in the sunshine.
